TOM HOBSON
I research how technologies and societies are co-produced. I'm interested in the politics & ethics of technology and how we do politics & ethics with technology. My PhD examines the future security imaginaries that guide US DoD techology planning & research. I also work on bio-ethics, bio-security and RRI.
ANNA ROESSING
I am interested in how technological developments change the practice of political violence. I work on human augmentation technologies to investigate how socio-political visions of the 'posthuman' translate into their innovation practices but also affect their military exploitation.
DR BRETT EDWARDS
I work and write on the security politics around emerging technology. I cut my teeth on misuse concerns around biotechnology (Edwards, 2019) and I am currently looking into how we can better characterize the processes through which different societies exploit and control innovation in the pursuit of national and global security.
